Arcadia, Inc., one of the leading developers of custom software in St. Petersburg, has announced release of Anacta Tools — a set of applications distributed as freeware, which should make life easier for software development managers. The tool kit includes Anacta Book, Anacta Time and Anacta Metrics — easy-to-use applications for accurate calculations, storage and comparisons of work-time statistics and source code metrics for different projects and project stages.

In their day-to-day activities Arcadia's project managers need to gather project statistics for project teams' productivity evaluation, comparative analysis and future planning. To facilitate these tasks, Arcadia decided to create its own tool: easy-to-use, mobile and flexible — allowing to customize it according to undividual tasks and preferences of project managers working with customers from different countries, projects of different complexity and various technologies.

This led to creation of Anacta Tools — a tool kit which includes:

• Anacta Book — to store and compare project data and statistics,
• Anacta Time — to calculate work-time inputs, needed number of team members and
• Anacta Metrics — to calculate work output statistics, i.e. source code metrics.

Anacta Time allows to make quick and accurate calculations of work time using flexible settings of holiday profile, holiday transfers and customizable formulae. In Anacta Metrics, you can get full detailed source code metrics data by only choosing the source code folder and needed technologies (file types). Anacta Book stores statistics on different projects and projects stages, allowing to compare different projects and to use hierarchical structure for project stages with unlimited number of levels. The work-time and code metrics calculated in Anacta Time and Anacta Metrics can be transferred to Anacta Book.
